Acne is very common amongst teens regardless of sex, race or ethnicity. According to the American Academy of Dermatology, nearly 100% of all teens have at least the occasional breakout.

Acne can start from as early as the agen of ten.  Teen acne is most common along the nose, forehead, chin and cheeks.  However, some teens can also suffer acne in their neck, shoulders, chest, back and upper arms. Some severe cases can persist into adulthood.
